Local police officials in Pasig City gone on a buy-bust operation last August 13 and found P3 million worth of dru.gs in the condo unit of Monster Radio DJ Karen Bordador and her boyfriend Emilio Lim.
Mari.juana and mari.juana oil were recovered from the condo unit according to a news report from TV Patrol.
Senior Supt. Tomas Apolinario explains that the PNP aims to control ille.gal dru.gs in bars and clubs after being interviewed by TV Patrol and said "Itong operation na ito ay bunga ng direktiba ng ating chief PNP, na sugpuin ang ilegal na droga dito sa mga high-end clubs tsaka sa mga bars." It was discovered that the regular patrons of the couple were teenagers, famous celebrities and other wealthy personalities.
The police managed to track down the illegal drug activity through a Fil-Am who was previously arrested by the police in Bonifacio City and pointed out that the couple is involved in ill.egal dru.gs.
Many netizens were shocked and surprised after hearing the news, stating that they were not expecting DJ Karen to be involved in drug trades.
