A clerk at the Department Of Justice (DOJ) named Edna "Bogs" Obuyes was questioned by the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for becoming an instant millionaire back in 2014.
According to a report from PhilStar, the said document was obtained from the DOJ source showing a total of ₱24 million was deposited in cash under the name of Bogs C. Obuyes' bank account in March and April of 2014.
The bank representatives refused to comment regarding the issue. It was reported that Obuyes and another clerk Jong Caranto had prepared affidavits claiming that then Justice Secretary Leila De Lima ordered them to deposit millions from the said bank account.
