Heather Witten sent shockwaves in the online community that made rounds online after shooting a photo of her 1-year old son and her husband naked while both of them were inside the shower.
Little did everyone know that there was a deeper meaning behind the photos that were left untold. After getting blasted online by many furious netizens, Heather decided to repost the photo and revealed a story on why she decided to take a picture of her naked husband and son while inside the shower.
It appears that her husband and son were suffering from salmonella poisoning, with their child having a high fever that led to her husband taking their child to the shower to lower the son's fever.
I was just overwhelmed in the scene in front of me. This man. This husband and partner and father. He was so patient and so loving and so strong with our tiny son in his lap. His whispers of reassurance to Fox, that he would be okay and that Thomas would take care of him were so steady and so honest.
I was taken aback by how many people missed the story or didn't even look past the nudity to find the story. They were just hung up on them both being nude and being in the shower. I had crossed a line. It was too intimate. It shouldn't be shared publicly. But, I disagree.
You may never take images of your family like I do... you may never share images of your family like I do. But, that doesn't give you the right to silence my voice. To take away my right to share our experiences in an uncensored way. There is nothing sexual or exploitative about this image. There aren't even any "private" parts showing.Certainly a tear-shedding story that deeply touched the hearts of many people who have discovered the true story behind the image. And that leaves us with a lesson, which is don't judge a book by its cover, because you'll never know the entire story just by looking at the surface.
