VP Leni Robredo Releases Statement on Decision to Bury Former President Marcos in "Libingan ng mga Bayani"

After 27 years since his death, the preserved body of former president Ferdinand Marcos will finally be buried in the Heroes' Cemetery (Libingan ng mga Bayani) which is a burial for eminent individuals and heroes of war.

President Rodrigo Duterte has made the decision to bury the former president whose reputation has been marred with human rights abuse and being accused of plundering the funds of the public in millions.

But many believe that it was long overdue that the former president be put to rest alongside the heroes that died in honor of the country. His legacy will forever be split into two in the minds of many Filipinos.

And now, newly-elected Vice President of the Philippines Leni Robredo releases a statement in regards to the decision of burying Marcos in the Heroes' Cemetery.
