President Duterte Shakes Senator De Lima's Hand and Makes Face Afterwards. Take a Look!

Everyone was met with surprise during President Rodrigo Duterte's first-ever State of the Nation Address (SONA) after he greeted and shook hands with Senator Leila De Lima at the Batasang Pambansa last July 25, 2016.
Before delivering his speech, he stopped for a brief moment and reached out to De Lima, shaking her hand in the process. Many are aware of the tension between the two, and as a result De Lima herself was surprised that the President approached her.

She said "I was surprised noong nasa harap ko mismo." She then added "Nag-detour siya. He approached me, he extended his hand."

Duterte is known for his straightforward and tough demeanor, so it came mostly as a surprise to everyone, especially considering his gesture towards De Lima, who's been critical about the President. After shaking her hand and turning his back, Duterte makes faces that left everyone laughing inside the venue. Let us know what you think about the video by writing us a comment down below!
