The Comelec’s Second Division has earlier disqualified Poe from running for the highest position in the country in the 2016 elections for failing to meet the residency requirement of the Constitution for presidential candidates.
In a 2-1 vote on Friday, Comelec voted to cancel Poe’s certificate of candidacy.
- Former senator Francisco Tatad, who assailed Poe's citizenship
- De La Salle University professor Antonio Contreras, who cited Poe's "failure to meet the 10-year residency requirement" to run for president
- Former University of the East law dean Amado Valdez, who questioned Poe's natural-born Filipino status
